Today... would like to introduce very bothersome complicated issue that most of you have known by the major news.

The wartime comfort women issues.

These keywords are well known to public by the "great efforts on the internet" of South Korean people.

Honestly... I have a strong believe that Japan side has the correctness by studying various historical records on the titled "wartime comfort women issues".

But... Since I am ethnically pure Japanese, even if I have the solid thought on this issue, some of you especially the opponent people would make protest to say I am biased.

But even be estimate to fall into that certain situation in the future by releasing this article.

Even in that particular circumstance I do not want to stand up for myself as like an ordinary Japanese person.

So... I just leave all details here for you all.

As I have mentioned you before, You are the one as the observer who have to study throughout the below historical evidences to make judgment on which country has the correctness on this issue.

Ahaha... Even if this is a problem only between Japan and Korea.

But anyway... you are the prosecutor, the lawyer and the judge of justice on this issue.

Read carefully examine and make your own judgment on this issue while enjoying about the cultural differences between Japan and Korea.



Japan and South Korea are very important for the security of Western countries in East Asia, adjacent to China, Russia, and North Korea.

For that reason, we should recognize the importance of it, and should unite and maintain a friendly position in order to protect the safety of the world.

However, as announced in the news on August 22nd, South Korea decided to cancel the contract for “GSOMIA”, an international security agreement signed between Japan and Korea, and notified Japan and the United States.

In 2016, GSOMIA signed between Japan and South Korea in response to the strong demand of the former US president, Mr.Barack Obama administration.

The significance of this Military Information Protection treaty is to protect the United states of America, Japan and Korea and allied countries from the threats of the surrounding communism, dictatorial and socialism countries.

Also this an international agreement established to aim monitoring the launch of nuclear missiles from these nations to prevent nuclear attacks on Japan and Korea.

Therefore... the treaty should have been a very effective international agreement for South Korea which takes a cooperative ally with Japan and the United States, to defend from fears of North Korea and the communist socialism countries.

The problem here is that North Korea and China's intentions since 1948, when Korea was founded after the end of World War II, despite South Korea being actually existing as a Japan's neighbor and democracy country. Similarly, it is also a country that officially educated the anti-Japanese racism at every Korean educational institution to imprint the public of aversion against Japanese, as following Communist countries such as China and Russia.

According to such a Korean official defense white paper, after the Second World War, Japan accepted the Potsdam Declaration in 1945, three years after unconditional surrender, and in 1948, when the Republic of Korea was founded, `` virtual enemy country is Japan '' This is the same as North Korea and China, and to this day it is also a surprising nation that clearly shows the intention of “Japan is the enemy”.

while in discarding this international agreement "GSOMIA", South Korean government lied to Japan and said, “The destruction of the agreement has been approved by the United States,” and tried to earn a further concession from Japan.

But lie does not last long.

The US government has announced that "The US government have never accepted the abolition of the treaty" and stated "Korean government made lie on it”.

Hence a Korean lie was thrown away.

However even in this case... the Korean government is pursuing Japan's responsibility as "all responsibilities are on Japan", and it has switched to a political issue with an obvious attitude of "hates Japan".

Like this way, Koreans who have strongly keep holding their hatred against Japanese have penetrated deeply from old even to young people who have not experienced war.

By this reason, a Korean government officer who was interviewed in Seoul had said that “Everything are Japan's responsibility that North Korea hits missiles, so if South Korea is attacked from North Korea, we will soon attack Japan”.

Sadly all Koreans' hearts are full of hatred as “Every bad things are on Japanese side”.

The following four points are always the basis when they accuse Japan.

1, Military comfort women issue.

2, The wartime labor issue.

3, South Korea is downgraded from been white country to catch-all regulations in international trade regulation in Japan.

4, Korean military invasion against the Japanese territory Takeshima in Shimane prefecture Japan.

In general... act of proving own innocent for not performed issue is as called as "the devil's proof".

It is because it is almost impossible to prove own innocent which has not performed it.

Therefore... a prosecutor has to show all the solid facts to show on an accused during the trial.

However Koreans never opened even a single solid fact yet since they have started protesting against Japanese in 1980's until today.

Hence let me explain the precise historical timeline about the comfort women issue here.



★1945: Japan surrenders unconditionally after accepting the Allied Potsdam Declaration.

★1948: Korea has founded as a country.

★1965: Signed “Japan-Korea Basic Convention” and “Japan-Korea Claims Agreement” and normalized Japan-Korea diplomatic relations.

Japanese and Korean governments had signed this treaty as stated to confirm “completely and finally resolved all previous war crimes on the Japanese side".

This treaty is included the meanings of to terminate all of the past claims, such as the wartime comfort women and the wartime labor issue that currently Koreans make claiming to Japan.

As for the contents, the Japanese side will abandon all public and private property rights in the Republic of Korea and transfer them free of charge to the Republic of Korea.

In addition, Japan provided the Republic of Korea with free and paid grants of $ 500 million (or $ 1.1 billion if personal assets and capital are added), more than two years of the Korean national budget at that time. Hence Japan responded immediately to the abandonment of property rights and payment of consolation fees.

★1977:  a Japanese novel titled “Korean comfort women and the Japanese”, was published by the pen name Seiji Yoshida (real name: Yuto Yoshida).

The content was a novel about Korean women mediating comfort women.(※Note,1.).

After the novel was published, many Korean women who claimed to been forced to work as a comfort women had appeared and it became one of the big international problems even left without showing any firm evidences in the past records.

★1982: Seiji Yoshida opened a seminar that titled “Wartime comfort Women Hunting” in Japan for the first time.

★1982: the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun announced an article that “the Japanese army forced Korean women to work as a comfort women during the war” based on the testimony of Seiji Yoshida.

★1983: Yoshida published a new novel called “My War Crime” that “the Japanese army was forced to take comfort women during the Second World War”.

The contents were stated as a documentary, and on 1943 May 18th, Yoshida went to Jeju Island along with 10 Japanese soldiers, and 205 women were abducted to work as comfort women.(※Note,2.).

★1989:  the Korean newspaper surveyed Jeju Island, but they had only got the denial testimony from local residents of that.

"It should became a big news if 205 women (later Yoshida had changed his testimony to 15 women) were taken away from such a small Island where only had 250 families lived during the wartime."
"But we never ever heard such a story before.".

By that testimony the Korean newspaper published the article showing the view that Yoshida testimony is false.

★1992 January: However, when Japan's Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa visited Korea, the anti-Japanese sentiment worsened, the Japanese prime minister Miyazawa had officially expressed to make 8 times of apologies and reflections on Korea during the one hour and twenty minutes summit.

★1992 January: a picture of the Japanese emperor and the Prime Minister, and the Japanese flag are burned by citizens in Korea.

★1992 July:  Korea government have adopted Yoshida's novel as official evidence.

★1992 July:  for to response for the anti-Japan activities in Korea, Japan's chief cabinet secretary Koichi Kato reiterated his apology and reflection for the wartime comfort women issue.

However, no matter how researched, there was no evidence in Japan and South Korea that forced enforcement by the Japanese army was found, and only the testimony of former Korean comfort women who claimed to have been forced.

★1993:  Yoshida, who raised the issue of comfort women, said, "All comfort women are their creations."
Then the public impressions have changed to it was a fiction in Japan.

★1995: following the strong request of the Korean government, Japanese Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama ignored the voices of domestic opposition and once again officially announced an apology and reflection on Korea.

★1995:  Seiji Yoshida officially admitted that all the comfort women issues he has created were his creations, saying that my role was over.

However, the Korean government does not accept this statement and will continue to use it as evidence.

★1996: Japanese Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto sent a letter of apology and reflection directly to former comfort women in Korea, the Philippines, and Taiwan in response to repeated strong requests from the Korean government along with the compensation money of total 570 million yen.

★1996: Yoshida's testimony was inconsistent, leading to a situation where criticism of Japanese society was concentrated.

Yoshida had announced in officially stated in an interview for the paper magazine interview that the story of wartime comfort women was his creation again.

★1998: the Sankei Shimbun newspaper in Japan reaffirmed that “the fact of the wartime comfort women were forced is not found.” was withdrawn, and the contents of all past articles were withdrawn.

It was also scooped that the only evidence that Japanese government had when apologized to Korean people in 1992 was based only by the testimony of Korean women who were former comfort women.

★2001: by the endless apology requests from the Korean government, Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi sends a letter of apology to each comfort women in the form of succumbing to South Korea, where replacing the comfort women issue as a political problems.

However, even after that, the Korean government and Korean civil society continue to ask for apology and remorse for not showing sincerity from Japan.

★2011:  a Korean citizen group once again insisted that “Japan has not sincerely apologized” and set up a comfort women statue in front of the Japanese Embassy in Korea for the first time.

★2014: Japanese Asahi Shimbun (news paper), who wrote an article that developed into an international issue, withdraws all past articles related to the comfort women issue as "all articles based on the testimony of Yoshida were false".

★2015 December:  the “comfort women issue between Japan and Korea” was signed in Japan and South Korea, and the leaders of Japan and Korea signed together to agree that “the comfort women issue should be an irreversible and final agreement”.

★2016:  the Japanese government paid a extra one billion yen payment, and Korean government has officially agreed to remove all the statue of the comfort women that had been installed.

★2017: the Korean government continues to install comfort women statues that symbolize repeated requests for apologies and comfort women issues toward Japan, and the comfort women statue is established again in front of the Japanese Embassy in Korea.

★2018 August: The total number of comfort women in Korea and cities around the world exceeds 100 bodies.

★2018 October: The Korean Ministry of Justice issue, which wartime labors were claimed to have been forcibly during the war, was deliberated by the Korean Ministry of Justice, and the liability of Japanese companies in Korea during the war was certified.

The Japanese private companies assets and rights are seized by the court now.

Moreover, Korean government is officially stating that “Japanese is being the perpetrator lacks of sincerity”, Korea has repeatedly requested an apology and extra consolation payments against Japanese.

★2018 November: The South Korean government has declared the abolition of the Japan-Korea Agreement on Comfort Women's Issue.

This is an international agreement that been agreed between Japanese and Korean governments in 2015.

It was intended to threat Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe, who has not succumbed even if threatened.

But not like ordinary past Japanese prime ministers, Shinzo Abe is not surrender his attitude.

Hence Korean government has decided “Healing Foundation” which has established between Japan and Korea to be dissolved unilaterally.

★2018 December 20th: Off the coast of Noto in the Sea of ​​Japan, South Korean military ship “Gwanggaeto the Great"(DDH-971) has locked on the shooting radar with the intention to shoot to kill the Japanese patrol aircraft inside the Japanese EEZ ocean area.



The Japanese government is condemning that it is a clear hostile act, but the Korean government is stating as “any of the radar lock on exposure was there” even Japanese government have opened the actual movie to the public.

★2019 August 22nd: The Korean government has rebelled against the Japanese government.

They are saying that because Japanese are not fully making apologies on "the wartime comfort women issue" and "wartime labor issue” as the reason of Korean government have to declared the abolishment of the "GSOMIA treaty".

★2019 August 29th:  Korean President Moon denies all past international agreements between Japan and Korea, expressing Korean government position with the words that “Once (between nations) have agreed the treaty even, it is not meant to say it's over”.

Korean government is again, criticizing that "Japan has linked past history to economic problems".

the Korean government is still expressing that "there were compulsory enlistment of military comfort women" by Japan and "the problem of wartime labor" will continues to demand extra apology and consolation payments.


※Note 1: Seiji Yoshida = Yuto Yoshida, It has a possibility of been other unknown person who impersonating to take over Yuto Yoshida family register who had died in 1931.

Anyway this "Yoshida testimony" is not consistent at all, the Korean newspaper was independently surveyed Jeju Island, but the residents had said "I have never heard of such forced entrainment" only this testimony was obtained.

According to Yoshida's family register note, Yoshida has adopted 20 years old Korean boy 李貞郁 (Lee Jong Uku) at the age of 24.

However the registered child 李貞郁 was supposed to be killed in 1938 by the police report.

But 李貞郁(Lee Jong Uku) was alive in the official government registered after that and have made marriage in 1942 and died in 1983 in official record.

Assuming these facts makes to recall that one possibility that Seiji Yoshida's descendants have said i the TV interview that there is a Yoshida may have received financial support from the South Korean intelligence bureau (now KCIA) through his life.

※Note 2: In 1989, when the “Korean Newspaper” surveyed Jeju Island in connection with the comfort women issue

“If there were 205 people (some people talked to 15 people) like Yoshida testimony on this island with only 250 houses, it would have been a big problem, but I never heard that story.”

An article was published stating that the Yoshida testimony was as a fake.

This point should focused on the wartime comfort women were "forced by the Japanese army".

or as seen in the past documents,

"It was the local Korean people who forcibly kidnapped these women during the wartime" and "whether Japanese army had involved with it".

However, the confusing point is that the past documents which can be found is showing that Wartime comfort women were legitimate occupations during that time.

According to the Japanese government's discovery regarding the comfort women issue, the salary of Japanese second class soldiers was 6 yen per month and the general class was 550 yen per month.

But the average salaries of "Wartime comfort women" were 750 yen per month and some of them were earned around 1,500 yen per month.

If it was really “kidnapped comfort women”, why would they be able to earn such a high salary? .

Even if there is such historical data, Korean people who want to state all the bad things are Japanese responsibilities will be told that it is “forgery”.

However, from a logical point of view, at least in view of the Japanese mindset, those who think that “comfort women are definitely comfort women, but some of them were wanted by self to work as full-time employees who could get high salaries”.

I am estimating is that is much more logically natural at that time.

However we are opposing against these sexually insulting issues which equals to the sexual harassment for females.

But history is history.

We have to focus on to the much better future than the past.

So please do not blame on me even if you do hate me.
