You will definitely comprehend what is the actual meaning of "Kawaii"... って事(笑).
How are you going guys!!.
Somehow in sudden... I felt like not explained the actual meaning of "Kawaii"(Cuteness) which highly evaluated in our Japanese society by today.
However, some of you might think that you are already understanding the meaning of the word in detail.
But think about the word, "Kawaii" very carefully.
Can you strongly claim that you know the actual true meaning of "Kawaii" as much as Japanese people do??.
Well... I do not think so.
The word, "Kawaii" can translate into the word of "Cuteness" or "Pretty" in English.
So, it is not that complicated word, but it has a big difference caused by the cultural gap behind our country's' history.
The word "Kawaii" does not appropriately converted by cause of the hidden essence or different emotional mindset in it.
If I looked up it in Cambridge internet dictionary.
"Cuteness" is explained as "the quality of being pleasant and attractive".
However, if I search Kawaii in Japanese.
It may described as below.
★Kawaii: a noun.
・a word which containing all the below meanings in the word .
・Cute, Adorable, Pretty, beautiful, Precious, Lovable, Sweet, Dearest, Special, Lovely, and so on.
So... Kawaii has the meaning of "an emotion of being attracted to a small child, a girl, a weak person or a tiny (colourful) thing" in Japanese.
Hence... it can also applied to an emotion which take care for an adorable looking person or a thing.
When someone heard this word from you, It does not matter which generation they are in, it makes that person happier.
But this word is basically to be used based on by a person who is looking down from above, like a parent, an elder person or a grandparent, and by a young little kid who has not yet learn what the society moral is.
Due to the generation gap between as indicated in the above, the word "Kawaii" has two different way of speaking.
One is normal way that pronouncing in flat way like "Kawaii" as we normally do.
Another is the pronouncing way which is like much in up tone, lifting pitch up at the end of the word like "Ka~wai~~~i" like young girls do.
Besides... if you are mature male, since you have unconsciously be affected pronouncing in that way from many Japanese girls always do, so, be careful with it.
Therefore... if you are mature male using that "slang way talking " to somebody, they might have feel that you are a rude or weird person from others when they heard that word.
So...it severely depends on a situation or a way you talk to.
Hence.... I want you to know that it is not appropriate to use in the first met, or in a business scene for sure.
Do you know the true meaning of "Kawaii"??.
But the special point about "Kawaii" is the act itself and not the meaning of the word.
The "Kawaii" act emphasizes your "cuteness" much more, also has the meaning of expressing appealing your familiar friendly atmosphere toward others.
If you can get the cuteness that able to express toward others, you will become a liked person by the people around you.
So... if you are kid, young girl, or less than around forty years old female, you are able to protect yourself with Kawaii character from not required other's malicious in daily life as the most of Japanese girls do.
But watching is much easier to comprehend an essence of the word than explaining in long sentences.
Therefore... strongly recommend to watch this fully Kawaii lovely song, "Meguri Megutte in your pocket".
The song which has adopted in the popular TV drama called "Kakegurui second season".
.
This girl is "Sayuri Matsumura"(松村沙友理) , who has born in Osaka, 1992 August 27th.
This "Kakegurui Second season" has broadcast on TV on this spring, 2019 March.
So... She is 26 years old, but she does not look like 26 years old at all.
She is known as the actual member of the real Japanese top idol group "Nogizaka46".
Therefore... when you have finish watching "Meguri Megutte in your pocket" as I have recommended to do so.
You will find out that she is so cute.
So, I strongly believes that you have comprehended very well about the actual "Kawaii" meaning in Japanese language.
Oops... the men in the MV... well it is an actual scene in drama... are dancing and shouting in same line like idiots but.
This is by the reason that AKB48 related group concerts have catched like some sort of dancing party by the supporters for to synchronized with an own liked idol singer.
Probably It has begun when a someone have started dancing one day and others did the same have followed him... maybe??.
Ahaha... I do not know the truth but definitely Japanese people are taking the importance on teamwork.
So, if you would intend to go for a Japanese idol concert, especially AKB groups including Nogizaka46.
Ahaha...You should learn the audience dance and the shouting part before the concert also... maybe??.

yes, i agree with everything. but is there a full version of this song to dl? i love it that much
Ahaha... Thank you for leaving a nice friendly comment.
Answering to your question... but sadly as far as I know...
Since this "Meguri megutte in your pocket" is produced only for this certain "Kakegurui" TV drama and just composed only of the first part verse (a block of the song or chapter??maybe??).
So... it does not have a second part of verse or even not have any official download for sale yet.
Hence... if you want this song... I recommend you to listen in official Youtube site or... if you still want to download it.
There are some way to use some "unofficial" Youtube DL application software in the net which I strongly do not recommend since it is illegal act.
So, sorry... I can not be able to help your interest advancement more.
But since I have a plenty of remembering of many Japanese Pop songs which have the similar taste that intend to introduce to you in near future... so... stay tuned!!
Ahaha... no no no... I should behave like an ordinary Japanese people do, and I must avoid speaking like a person in too much exaggerated westernized showing off action which never ever fit to Japanese people in any situations.
Therefore... like a common Japanese, I have to say it like...
"if you have an extra time and still having your interest in our culture...check our blog in a next week also again".
Ehehe... Thank you again... See Ya!!
Thanks for the response! i really appreciate your time and effort on these things, i really like your stuff ^^
i shall await for your next creation :)
Ahaha ... I'm very happy to read your kind reply.
Your warm attitude is truly touching my heart.
But... no no no... don't thank me... It is not my effort since I am only introducing my favourite Japanese songs as a hobby.
If you like these songs, it is simply these emotional Japanese POP musics are just suiting with your taste.
Therefore... ehehe... it is embarrassing to know that you are having a such high evaluation on me.
So If you have good reputations on these introduced songs,
I feel much happier if you become a fan of AKB groups or other major Japanese singers and listening to their songs much more.
Ahaha... anyway... I will keeping up "my recommendation articles" for you to feel happiness much more.
Oops... by the way... I do not know whether you are a person from overseas or not... but if you intend to come to Japan or Osaka... please let me know.
I... actually... my girlfriend and I can go out with you to somewhere around Osaka, Kobe, Nara or Kyoto, if you do not mind meeting us though.
Ahaha... please consider that also if you have a chance to come over to Japan.
Thank you again... see ya!!
You know funny thing is, when is started to get into jpop, i started off listen to SKE48 music haha. from their music i then looked at SKE48 and their TV shows "SKE48 ebi friday night" and "SKE48 ebi calcio". FROM THERE, I found out about AKB48 :D
Now a days, i obtain my jpop music from anime. If i like the OP or ED i look up the artist and look at their music.
Yes, I am overseas :)
I live in California. I actually do plan on traveling to Japan, but not until next year around April. No plans on where to go yet, I just want TO GO haha. If and when i go to japan, i would love to have you as a new friend of mine :D
i love how completely random it was that I stumbled upon your blog and how much i'm loving checking your blog out! its very nice!
I am very happy to see a foreigner like you are having so much interested in Japanese Pop music.
Yes... as you have said in the comment... seems that TV shows of SKE48 members are very popular around the world.
But sadly... their TV shows are protected by the strict rights and do not allow me to attach their contents to my blog even I know a various great numbers of recommending songs which you foreigners might like.
Besides... since their songs are also protected by AVEX Trax, one of the major record company in Japan, also they are not give to allow me to use them in blog either.
So... very pity is it!!.
However... if you may come to Japan their "songs" are everywhere so you would be satisfy with it... ahaha... maybe.
Anyway... thanks for calling me as a friend.
Definitely... My girlfriend and I will welcoming you here in Osaka on next April.
Be in honest... I would like you to come Osaka where we live now, but My best recommend place in Japan is Tokyo.
You may feel the teeny impressions on Tokyo.
But you may feel the excitements be given that the Tokyo city, like New York has well considered to give all people an enormous astonishment in the entire area.
In the other hand... Osaka is the second biggest city in Japan but may will give you a feeling of a bit local and a bit noisy and messy impressions like in Hong Kong or New Delhi atmospheres.
Ahaha... therefore... If I make a Japan trip plan as set myself as in your situation for making the first Japan visit.
Probably I will make a plan to come Osaka first as the base camp, then visit Kyoto, Nara, Kobe and Nara enjoying the comparisons of the ancient Japanese history with nowadays Japanese atmospheres.
After then would intend to move Tokyo to feel modern Japanese habit.
Oops... since Japanese JR trains including bullet trains (Shinkansen) and other local JR trains the fares are extremely high, please do not forget to purchase "Japan Rail Pass" before coming to Japan.
The explanation on "Japan Rail Pass" is in my blog article so...do not forget to read that also.
However... my plan is simply just for a general type of western person.
So... do not influenced with my unilateral estimated plan, you can make your own plan and I will be happy to help you anytime.
Finally for the last information on us living in Osaka city near Shin Osaka station.
I am Mu and my girlfriend is Pyonko, these are the nicknames which our friends are calling on us and we are pure Japanese.
Ahaha... sorry to write such a long comment again...
We are looking forward to see you on April here in Osaka, Japan.
yes, it's sad we can't see more of their content in the US. Even the stuff that is on the internet doesn't last long because of how you said, copyright.
WOW, you're so awesome! thank you for the awesome advice! I just bookmarked your "J-Rail pass" blog. and LOL, as a first time traveler to japan, simple = better xD
I appreciate the help, and i hope that, as the trip approaches, you wouldn't mind if I asked you a couple more questions in the future? i'd loved the help ><
It's very nice you meet you Mu, and your gf pyonko. My name is Omar. And like I said, my gf and I are planning to visit japan in April. My NEW goal is to incorporate visiting you and your gf when we decide to go ^^
Absolutely sure!!
Any kind of queries, no matter what a theme is, I definitely would make a reply as much as I could.
In somehow... today is a Sunday... but unfortunately waiting for my girlfriend making me a call...
Unexpectedly having rare Sunday with spare time...
So... this is the good chance to tell you about religious matters here before coming to Japan.
But do not put off your feeling here.
But it is not the matter of Japanese derived religion since Japan is very fluffy against Buddhism and Japanese originated Shinto religion.
What I really want to tell you here is the matter of various foreign religion are not properly treated.
Hence... some people might have a bad feeling by looking the reality in Japan.
Speaking in honestly... All Japanese are accepting any kind of religions existing in the entire world.
But rephrase that sentence, it may turns into "not comprehending any of the religions accurately".
But do not worry too much though.
We cherish others religion even we are not belonging with any type of religion including Japanese Shinto religion.
This notable Japanese peoples' mindset can be seen anywhere in Japan.
For example... as like ordinary Japanese citizens, I do believe every religious gods but not joining any of the particular religion.
Hence... pray in Japanese Shinto way for a birth,
pray Buddhism and Shinto gods in a new years days.
Celebrates a Christmas eve and make an oath at wedding ceremony in Christian way,
and pray in Buddhism way in a funeral.
Sorry... major religions like Islam, Hindu, or other religions existing in the world are not common in Japan...
Hence... I could not be able to make a remark on these certain religious influence here in Japan.
So... I think Christians are probably alright but...
Muslim, Hindu and other religious believers can be hard for them to come in Japan.
This particular difficulties in Japan is because that it is difficult to find their religious special meals like halal meals, or their religious temples or churches.
All these problems might happen here in Japan but Japan is the free country you can do whatever you want unless not breaking the law or general public manners which can be seen at your country also.
I think that you might feel much free than other countries for Japan since the most of our abroad friends who came here had same impressions... maybe??.
Ahaha... honestly... but except German and Korean friends though.
Anyway... this characteristic in Japanese society will be your most interested experiences at the time to come to Japan.
I am looking forward to make a chat with you here in Osaka in future.
See Ya!!.
