Tokyo One Day tour with a new American friend with AKB48, Kimi wa Melody as for BGM!!

How are you going guys!!

My girlfriend and I had met with a new American friend from Texas, at JR Kamata station where we live nearby, a week ago, so...

We have decided to take him to "Unique Tokyo one day tour" on the next day...だったのです！！

Therefore... very much representing Japanese characteristics...

along with our most favorite Japanese music, AKB48 's "Kimi Wa Melody"...

Let's move on to the description of our exciting one day trip... なのです（笑）

【Details of our one day Tokyo tour】

・Walked distance: 13.2 km

・Expenses: around JP 10,000 Yen per person (around US $100)

・Duration:  almost 16 hours

Please note that expenses is the actual cost of transportation fairs, beverages, sweets etc, so...

both of us had paid own expenses only!!

It seems to be very expensive but... Japan...

especially Tokyo is very expensive, so...

I'd intended to keep costs down as much as I could, by taking trains, walking in such a hot weather, but...

I assumed my effort is not enough though... so... sorry（泣）




I think many of you are curious about where did we go for "one day Tokyo trip", so...

explaining the exact details of our trip on that day here... って事なのです！！

【Details of our tour】

★8:00... Met with him at "Apa Hotel Kamata East" (nearby Kamata station)

★JR Kamata station to JR Tokyo station: 23 min by "JR Keihin Tohoku line train"

・Single way: JP 220 yen, using Suica= IC card: 216 yen

★Hato Bus "O sola mio" Tokyo sightseeing bus short tour (apx 60 min)




・Operated by "open roof double deck bus" departs in every hour...

but never stop, just drive passing some major places in Tokyo.

・JP 1,800 yen per person (around US $18 )

・Better to make reservation a few days before the tour..

In our case... there were 2 seats available for 9:30 bus on that day, so...

we had able to join the tour right away 

・Multiple language guidance headphone system is available for free

・Guided places and towns:

『Tokyo station - The Imperial palace - Japanese National Diet building - Tokyo Tower - Rainbow bridge - Odaiba - Toyosu (one of 2020 Tokyo Olympic area) - Tsukiji Fish market - Ginza - Back to Tokyo station』 

★New Marunouchi Building （新丸ビル）

・Building opens from 11AM, so...

we could not be able to have a cup of tea and a coffee... sorry...（泣）

★Daimaru Department store at Tokyo station

・Had some sample tastings to Japanese sweets and Japanese western sweets

★Cafe Tsujiri （茶寮 都路里） at 10th floor of Daimaru department store


・Tried "Tsujiri Ice Zenzai"（都路里 氷 ぜんざい）JP 1,425 Yen ,but...

as like as ordinary westerners... taste did not match to his tongue, so...

If you are not the person who has massive interests in Japanese local sweets ...

you should not try "Anko"（あんこ）... red bean paste... だぞっ！！

Hence I recommend you to have a Japanese tea drink with ice cream...

"Uji Maccha float"（宇治 抹茶 フロート）JP 864 Yen instead!!

★JR Tokyo station to JR Ueno station: 5 min by JR Yamanote Line

・Single way: JP 160 yen, using Suica= IC card: 154 yen

★JR Ueno station to Metro Asakusa station: 5 min by Tokyo Metro Ginza Line

・Single way: JP 170 yen, using Suica= IC card: 165 yen

★Asakusa Senso-Ji temple （浅草 浅草寺）: stayed about 1.5 hours



・Established: on year 628... almost 1390 years ago...

The most aged historical temple in Tokyo

・The head Buddhism temple of Sei-kannon buddhism temples group

・The principal God of worship: "Kannon Bosatsu"（観音 菩薩） as...

a Goddess (a female god) of mercy with full of  "agape"...

・However... "Kannon Bosatsu" 's mercy is for all living lives, so...

 "Kannon" is aiming to save every people on this planet beyond the time from ancient till future, including...

even criminals, creatures, animals, insects, dinosaurs and plants even...

all lives will be saved by "Kannon" !!

・So to believe or not to believe is not the matter for her...

every single life is as an object to be saved!!

・A name of the world famous Japanese Camera maker, "Canon" is coming from this "Kannon Bosatsu"...

A Canon founder worshiped "Kannon", but it is similar to Cannon...

Also, hard to pronounce it so...

changed spelling to "Canon"... なのです！！

【Opinion:  Be optimistic like Japanese】

Japanese are known as strict on social manners to obey own conscience rules!!

Their common Japanese mindsets are...

avoiding to have blaming, insulting, arguing, looting, hating like "negative emotions"...

not to concern too much about bad experiences happened in the past!!.

of course, deeply regretted about it...

they also make effort to reflect bad experiences into good experiences for future actions...

aimed at never to be happen again in future!!

Hence... All Japanese people are converting their mindset to think that bad experiences are valuable in their life  for to have a bright future!! 

Probably... This unique good Japanese habit was concreted to be as a fundamental Japanese mindset, before the establishment of "Senso-Ji temple" time, so...

That is why Japanese are always very kind to different religions, also to foreigners including same Japanese citizens... maybe... かもね？？

Ahaha... if I described that sort of explanations...

some of you people may concern that I am "Buddhist", but...

Sorry guys... I and my girlfriend are as like as other ordinary Japanese citizens...

We are non religious people, so...

never joined with any particular religions since we have born till today!!

However... maybe this is the main reason that we can accept to respect all religions and national people on this planet... って事なのかもね？？

★Had "Menchi Katsu"(Beef croquet＝メンチ カツ) at Nakamise street of the temple

★Metro Asakusa station to Metro Ginza station: 18 min by Metro Ginza line

・Single way: JP 200 yen, using Suica= IC card: 195 yen

★Ginza Mitsukoshi department store to Ginza Nissan showroom



・tasted a cup of "Banana Milk drink"

・Got Nissan GT-R brochure for free

★Walk Ginza Pedestrian "Car Free" street: about 10 min by walk

・Close the Ginza main street only on weekend for pedestrians for feel Ginza 's gorgeous atmosphere much more

★Tsubaki-Ya cafe （椿屋珈琲店 銀座本店）

・Had a cup of iced tea and a cup of iced "water dripped" coffee...

also had 7 glasses of free water with the warm hospitality from waitress (笑)

★Walk down to "Yurikamome Shimbashi station: 15 min by walk

・3 min walk from JR Shimbashi station

・"Yurikamome line" is the train system which does not have any driver and conductor...it is fully automated by central computer!!

★"Yurikamome Shimbashi station" to "Odaiba Kaihin Koen station":
   13 min by Yurikamome Odaiba line



・Single way: JP 320 yen, using Suica= IC card: 319 yen

★Walk pedestrian deck to Odaiba Mega Web nearby Venus fort: 10 min by walk

★Odaiba "Toyota Mega Web"



・"Mega Web" is the biggest Toyota Free exhibition facility in Japan

・Open everyday

・If you have a car license, experience "Ride One"...

You can drive any types of Toyota cars on 2 laps in around short circuit course by paying 200 yen for your own insurance, but...

it is very popular always, so...

you won't be able to get a car on that day, so...

make sure to have a reservation in the Mega Web site before you go!!

・3 floor gorgeous shopping mall... with luxurious shops, restaurants, outlet shops (3rd floor) and even have a pet free floor (1st floor= ground floor) with expensive pet shop...

An ordinary Toy poodle for JP 1,800,000 Yen = US $18,000...

Can you believe that??... って、なんてこったい（泣）

・Historical foreign and internal cars...

had a glass of iced tea and iced coffee... here too（笑）

★Walk through Venus fort 1st floor along with fancy dogs...

★Kobe beef steak restaurant, "Bar Saru" at east side of Kamata station for dinner!!
