No meaning of imposing strong opinions to others in Japan...って何故？？

How are you going, guys!!

As I (and Pyonko) have presented many posts related to the recommendation of our favorite Japanese music, but...

recently...I've felt a bit boring with the theme (笑）

So... I have decided to shift to write about the esoteric theme, "The characteristic of Japanese people"!!

Even say so... The core presentation part of the theme is...

rely on to the famous Youtuber, Rachel and Jun's Vlog as I always do... なのです（笑）

だって... They have grasping the precise issues of problems and lead to the reasons based on their own experiences by holding foreigner's pure eyes...

so I have nothing to add more... だったりして？？

Hence the aim to be concluded as the derivative of this post's is...

"How being opinionated in Japan is different from the other nations??"

will be lead to the conclusion with...

"No meaning of having strong suggestions forcing others in Japanese society"
ってな事になるのです！！

I think you people have been wondering why not to be opinionated in Japan still!!

This is based on typical cultural differences like...

If you do not show your own opinions to take one side choice on things make  definitely...

your friends and your co-workers judge you as the non intellectual person...

especially at the Western societies... だよね？？

But as I have said at the above...

"No need to be opinionated in Japan!!"

This is the keywords to understand our Japanese people a lot more!!

However... many people in the internet writing comments on this issue but...

sadly... I felt some of the comments and replies are misaligned by the cause of ...

"The lack of important presuppositions in talking about Japanese people 's behaviour and mindset"...（泣）

What are the missing important premises...

that some people... well... not "some" but...

"many" foreigners are undertaking the impression of misconfigured Japanese mindset...

that lead to my words of...

"The lack of important presuppositions"!!

Well... before to go my description further more about this presuppositions...

I have to explain you about ordinary Japanese people's attitude in the discussion places...

"Why Japanese people never speak out their opinions to others"

However... Japanese people definitely have their opinions...

but the problem is...

they keep standing in silence, not speak out their opinions to others.　

This is the first important point which the most of other national citizens would misunderstand Japanese mindset!!





The reason of why Japanese people are in speechless during the argument is because...

Japanese people are strongly aware that they must act like a leader(an adult) at the public space...なのです！！

If everyone insists oneself and acts as they like...

absolutely the members may got confused and may expand to a violence scene.

As I have said in the past articles...

"Japanese never want to see people arguing(dispute) in front of them"!!

However... No matter what a group is small or large...

definitely... a group need to have a strong leader with a absolute leadership and a power to control all member's behaviour.

These strong leaders are very common in North America and Europe...

But never heard a name of strong leader in Japan... でしょ？？

Actually...a strong leader is not necessary in Japanese society... なのです！！

Conversely...What I really want you to think carefully about the fundamental question of ...

"Why do you have to have a strong leader in your group??"... って事！！

If each person (members) provide a maximum attention to think other 's feelings and behave like an adult...

A group does not need to have a strong leader... isn't it...だよねっ??

However... I am saying that telling your opinion to others is not a bad thing...

I am explaining that being opinionated is not fit to Japanese society...って事！！

For to explain more...

I would like to show you the famous phrase which describes the above issue exactly...

"Heaven does not build a man above a man and does not build a man under a man"

(天は人の上に人を造らず　人の下に人を造らず）

The phrase meant to say ...

"All people are born to be equal.

You have to deny your prejudice to discrimination against poor, occupation and social status"

This word is from a famous Japanese educator, Yukichi Fukuzawa (福沢 諭吉10th Jan 1835-3rd March 1901）who contributed the modernization of Japan...

He is known as the establisher of Keio University,  The Institute of Medical Science The University of Tokyo, and other famous universities!!

So simply... He is a good guy... って事（笑）

However... some of you might think the word "equal" is like a communist but...

It is same as...

"Government of the people, by the people, for the people"

the famous phrase of "The 16th US president,  Abraham Lincoln"... だよね！！

So...Just like the US president, Abraham Lincoln...

He was a core member of the democratic party so...

please do not misunderstand the actual meanings of the phrase...でね？？

Back to the main theme...

If you have a strong leader...

It makes a person sit above your position... so...

It means that each person is not in equality relationship（泣）

That's why... Japanese do not need to have a strong leader...って事なのです！！

However... Without strong leadership the flock becomes disordered and out of control...

But no worries at all in Japan...

Every single Japanese citizens are always behaving with high pride and strong confident leaders!!

These behaviors can be seen at the devastating incidents like The East Japan Earthquake occured on 11th March 2011...

Even if they lost everything by the Tohoku Earthquake...

Every Japanese people were behaved to maintain public order in good manners, without fall themselves into looting and riot!!



Even though...Some of gruesome incidents still happen in Japan like the other countries but...

our "Public order" is always evaluated as the most safest country in the world from the other national citizens!!




We feel everyone is equal!!

That's why...We do not want to be opinionated...

pay full attention to the other's circumstances...

listen carefully to comprehend other's principles and assertions....

keep fair position for everyone...

by striving to keep everyone's opinion together and stay in neutral position... って事！！

This particular leadership requires viewing power and attentive actions to distinguish the feelings of the whole group!!

Honestly...Our behaviours under these deep thoughts seem to be not recognised to some foreigners in Japan...

Those people are having strong opinions against almost everything...

strongly rely on to strong leaders without questioning...

that people can be seen from those who grew up in their mother countries from a young age, not in Japan (泣）

So... when I recall to observe some of my past foreign friends in Japan...

they had been protected under the name of individualism by the strong leader in their mother lands for a long time...

they seemed strongly to believe that they can do everything for to satisfy their own interests and act as they wanted themselves in anytime（泣）

Therefore... living in Japan is not that easy...

you are requested to have a firm patience on behaviors as a leader (an adult)...

Also the toughest thing is...

this expectation is to be implicitly sought from Japanese society in every situations as the most important fundamental rule!!

So... some of the foreigners who could not understand such invisible constraints mourn believe that Japanese society is hard to foreigners and not accepting at all!!

But you know "Selfish behaviour in a group is totally nonsense!!"... だよね？？

Those people who only respond to selfishness have childish minds...

sadly...they would never ever accepted from Japanese society（泣）





Apologizing for my strong "opinionated" phrases...

If you have struggled with Japanese people around and feel not accepting you...

look back yourself once more!!

FYI...There is the word "K Y"(Kuki Ga Yomenai) here in Japan...

means "A person who could not take a hint from others", so...

"Pay maximum attention to read atmosphere (others situations)"... って事！！

Again...this requires to pay maximum attention to distinguish the feelings of the whole group!!

Can you manage to control rationally these stringent situations every day??

Ahaha... Sorry to threaten you!!

It is definitely tough but...

All Japanese people from kids to elderly person are managing to control it everyday, so...

why can't you do it??... って事（笑）

Finally... I have to mention strongly at you that...

many people in the internet believe that...

"Japan is a part of Asia, so they have same national mentality as other Asian citizens"

うーん...what a crap...って...〇鹿なの？？

As I have explained you many times...

Japanese mentality is completely different from other neighboring countries...だぞっ！！
